Education Courses

English

Young persons may not be able to read, speak and write confidently at their age of 3 or 4.  These skills are importance to pave a way to your targeted dream schools in primary level.  Therefore, Saintiocese’s English teaching methodology is specially designed for very young children.  It is designed strategically to help establish young children’s reading & writing as well as their speaking confidence.  It is not easy to build a read, write & speak habit for a very young person at home.

Undertaking Saintiocese English courses, most children can even read chapter books in the beginning of K3 period.  Most of her students have successfully placed to top primary schools in the country.

The salient point of our English course is to reduce parental reading for their children.  Most importantly, Saintiocese students can easily read their story books to their parents after attending first 4-6 lessons. Reading interest will be built extensively for them.  Story retelling will be exercised in the lesson.

Last and not least, starting to K1, all students are expected to have dictation to write individual words.  Hence, every single students at Saintiocese are able to read and write well.

Information of our English courses are available upon request.  We have classes for as young as PN and K1-2.  Starting at K3, most students are able to read chapter books.  Besides kindergarten levels, primary classes are available from Primary 1 (P1) to Primary 6 (P6).

Maths

Saintiocese launched its first Mathematics course in June 2020.  We understand the important of Maths concepts to be formed at young learners at Kindergarten period.  It is hard to explain the concept and hatred for repeating work making the mathematics look so dry to most students.  Our Maths are taught in fun and interesting ways such as card games, and mathematics tools are used.  We split the lessons into Mental test, Games, and hard copy practices.  Kindergarten syllabus involve writing your numbers, words, shapes, time, money, add and minus and so on.

We emphasis the P1 interview skills or needs to blend well into our mathematics syllabus.  Elite schools require mental maths and these will be part of their usual exam syllabus for marking too.  Therefore, our maths syllabus is tailored for some elite primary schools as well as to enhance our students to have higher success rate in their P1 interview process. Mental training is the key to success for some elite primary school applications.  Saintiocese will blend in Olympiad Maths to our K3 syllabus.  It will be an early introduction to Olympiad Maths for our Kindergarten students to proceed this knowledge to be added on into our primary maths syllabus.

Public Speeches

Saintiocese students have performed very well in Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival every year.  They can outshine their competitors in English Solo Verse Speaking.  Some students also participated in other languages such as Mandarin and Cantonese.  All are well done in Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival.  Saintiocese focuses on facial expression to outshine others besides the poems are able to be recited in excellent intonation.  Every year, many students from elite primary schools have requested training for their once a year speech festival.

Cambridge Exams

Our students have already started writing in K1 and K2.  Hence, they are above-average than their peers in challenging the Cambridge Starters, Movers or Flyers examination.  Our regular English course has already blended in the Cambridge vocabulary for dictation during their K1 and K2 classes.  They will not need lot of training for the exam.  Most of our students have done very well in these exams.
